I am so sorry to read about the loss of your dear Katie. You have to realize you were so fortunate to have her for fifteen years. Your mom and dad did something right to have her all those years. I lost my yorkie Keally at twelve and a half years and she fought IBD all her life which was a genetic thing. We were so devastated but you have to do this. Think of all the wonderful memories you have of Katie. If she was looking down from heaven she would want you and your family to be happy. Katie knew you loved her so much and she had a wonderful home. Your dad gave her a gift of not suffering where some people let their babies suffer. Try to do a nice memorial of her. I have pictures framed on my wall of Keally and I smile everyday seeing her. It has been over six years of her death but we still think of her everyday. We did go on and have another angel Kinder now. I know Keally wanted me to give another yorkie lots of love so there is a bright side. You need to cry and talk about your loss it helps you heal. Each day will get better and I hope this helps. Sending a hug to your family. Susan
