Lilah has gone to the groomer once a year since her birth, typically between October and November- right when serious sweater season hits and armpit mats abound (may also have something to do with how busy and crazy Christmas season can be too!) and she gets a shave. Other than that I do her grooming at home. She needs to be brushed every day but we skip sometimes, we do ark naturals eyes so bright for a face rinse before a mustache comb, trim nails, bath once a week. I like her coat long and am a little sad we cut it down this winter, I don't think I will ever take her back to the groomer- she was really upset after this last time and -horror- they cut her top knot!
luckily not all the way off. I have always wanted a grooming table and grooming my dog is one of my favorite things about owning her (hopefully I will get better at it, she is already almost four and I have improved a ton already! Lol) - I suppose it is time to bite the bullet and buy one!
