I think it could be true about dogs liking a man over a woman or vice versa. I had a dog one time that liked me but when my husband was around he was much happier to see him. In fact he liked any man he saw. I was at a friend's house one time with him and the husband came home and sat down and my dog jumped up on his lap. I had adopted him so maybe his original owner was a man he was much attached to I can't say. That sure does not make a person feel good I must admit though. If you love your dog and feed him and love on him and do all sorts of things with him it is only reasonable that you would think he would be super close to you. Go figure. lol
