Oh, I suppose that could be true! I hadn't even thought of that, i guess I have never had a dog act that way.

If my dogs acted like that I would really freak out, and be afraid the pain was VERY severe, and I would call for an emergency vet visit. I wouldn't worry so much about limping, but the behavior would put me in a tailspin.

Mine hold still if they are physically in pain so I can check them over, but i don't try to comfort them physically, so maybe that is the difference? The ones I refer to are larger dogs.
The baby Yorkie mix doesn't seem to mind a bit of coddling, but just a bit

OP How is your dog today?
