The Imodium might not agree with his tummy if he is now vomiting. Watch him very closely -- small dogs can go down fast with vomiting and soft stools/diarrhea. Don't hesitate to go to the vet/ER if he is lethargic or has sticky, pale gums. Pancreatis is always a concern.

When my Teddy has diarrhea, I prefer to feed him a bland diet of steamed chicken and white rice. Nothing else, no treats or kibble. That puts his system right again.

I would personally hold off on neutering until he is back to 100%.
