I agree with Kim...check her vital signs. But. also be cautious about dairy products in larger amts. Some dogs just do not tolerate lactose just as hoomans do not. I would give her some calcium tabs (we all have our preferences), crushed egg shell, and maybe start with a little cottage cheese or yogurt. They do get GI upsets after eating those placentas and it can be as you describle. Try giving her lots of water and dry puppy food and I always give BeneBac or acidophilus to my moms and puppies.
Let us know what your vet says..And please be careful about exposing those new babies to the diseases that are ever-present in the vet's office.. |
