Thank you all for your sweet Gotcha day comments.
My vet gifted me with Cody 6 weeks after I had to put my 17 yo girl down. I was not planning on ever having another dog, I have lost too many and it does not get any easier. The older we get, the more painful the loss of one of these precious babies are. I had found a wonderful little park with a pond, ducks and geese. Matese was deaf, blind and dementia had just started, she could not be taken out of her comfort / safety zone so she never got to enjoy this little park. I have taken Cody to this park now is the 3rd year, to celebrate our anniversary together, and in remembrance of my beautiful girl Matese.
