My friend, who has a very small maltese, has the same vet as I do. Even though her dog tested positive and showed no symptoms, the vet gave her an option of either waiting for symptoms or treating with the doxycycline as a precaution. To ease her mind, she chose the antibiotic treatment, especially with the controversial accuracy of the 3Dx and 4DX tests respectively.

Since I am not getting any feedback here (since it is the weekend and most vets are closed), I guess I will be making calls "again" to hopefully get a better idea of how long I should wait to get her tested.
