The problem is there are dogs that will test positive for Lyme and never show symptoms ever because their body formed a kind of immunity. Most vets won't treat unless there are symptoms not just because they test positive. It can take awhile to show up and even if the snap test shows positive it could be wrong so you would be better off having the blood sent out.
