I would definitely keep her on a leash from now. I've never let Chewie off leash apart from in the garden which is obviously secure. He can be very responsive to commands but if something catches his attention, it's like I don't exist anymore and I would hate to think what could possibly happen.

We have a harness for Chewie which takes seconds to put on and he's leashed up and ready to go. I understand it can be frustrating having to put it on all the time. The other thing would be to get potty pads for her while she is indoors if she is desperate.

I wouldn't advise leaving the harness on 24/7, unless it is very minimal and you can ensure that she is comfortable.
