 after whelping?
I am calling my vet, but they don't open for another 45 mn, so I thought I would see if this is normal. Libbie had her pupppies by 7 yesterday morning, we took her in for her shot at 9:30. She is eating chicken, yogurt,dry puppy food and cottage cheese. She went out to potty last night about 2am and I think she exploded! Her whole hind end was covered in dark, really smelly poop. I cleaned her up, and she has gone out since and it is not all over her, but it smells terrible. Could it be from all the dairy products that she isn't used to eating? She usually is only on dry dog food, so all this other stuff is not normal for her to eat. She is taking really good care of her babies, eats and drinks and goes outside to potty without me taking her so other than the whole diarea thing she is doing well. I just wondered if smelly diarea is normal? |
