I too have a Yorkie (Muffin) and a Maltese (Biscuit). I have to agree with the coat and tear staining problem however, the Maltese is a beautiful dog with a great personality. I keep Biscuit in a very short puppy cut and I clean his eyes everyday. I don't find grooming Biscuit much different than Muffin because they both have to be brushed everyday regardless of their coats.
I will say keeping a white dog clean is more of a challenge than black/tan dog but when a Maltese is clean they look so beautiful!
Muffin and Biscuit get along great. I think the Maltese and Yorkie are great together. |
