Just like ppl, dogs have different personalities. I had a pack of 3 females, all 3 years apart, the 2 older ones were not spayed, the baby was. It takes several weeks for the only fur child to accept a new kid. My older one / ones would stay on the sofa out of the way of nippy puppy. When my un-spayed girls came into season there was not change in their personalities. They were the sweetest girls. There was never a growl between them, they ate side by side. Like maxdog, they all got treats at the same time, ate at the same time, all got cuddles and kissy face, no one was ever excluded. Came the time my older ones passed, one 6 months after the other, the baby now was 6 yo and grieving for her sisters. 7 months later the baby was still grieving, she was not the little clown that she was, so off I go and get her a buddy, yes another female. My little clown was back, it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT, my baby now played the role of the momma, these two dogs were very close, they slept in the same doggie bed, where ever one was,the other was right besides her. This is my personal experience with all females.
