I wouldn't worry about it.

My very first Yorkie's coat never really grew. But, it was fine, she was still a cutie pie, and we saved a lot of money on grooming. All she was required was a bath and a good brushing.

My Rocko Benji has short hair. I got him from a woman who purchased him for her daughter however, she was not able to keep him and blessed me with him. I notice many of the Yorkies I have seen on the posts have long hair. Should I expect his hair to grow or is there such a things as short hair Yorkies?
