Same here. I have to restrain my little ones when they want to go after birds or squirrels. First, like you I'd also be devastated if they killed another animal. Second, it'd be dangerous for them if they chased after all the little animals since we live in the city without a backyard. I'd just die if they darted out into the streets and got themselves killed because they wanted to chase after something.
