To eliminate urine odor you need a enzyme eliminator. Nature's Miracle Urine destroyer I had a friend use it for cat urine. Nature's Miracle can be purchased in PetCo, Pet Supplies, or Pet Smart. For myself I used Zero Odor for my senior girl that had lost control of her bladder function, she would urinate where she was, which was always on the carpeting, I purchased it on line.

All the puppies I have ever had were all 100% house broken at 7 months old, they pottied out doors only so I cannot help with pad solutions or how to redirect your baby back to using pad in the bathroom other then not allowing him free roam of the home, taking him to the pad several times a day and using the command word you use when he pottied on the pad. Praise and treat when he gets it right. Some puppies do need potty retraining, you may have to start at the very beginning again.

Behavior issues, dogs are creatures of habit, they do well on schedules, set a time in the morning and afternoon to play with him, it MUST be the SAME time every day, (set your cell phone alarm to remind you) teaching basic sit, stay, drop it, wait, etc. commands with praise and treats works well, especially since your pup wants treats and not play. Cheerios is a good training treat that most dogs LOVE. ONE Cheerio for each command he completes. Your pup will learn at a certain time each morning and afternoon he will get his treats.

One of the many things I have learned since joining YT is that "nothing in life is free" lol, meaning your dog has to work for their treat.
8PM in my house is treat time, I put my 5 year old boy through ALL his commands and THEN he gets his doggie treat, which is a Wellness biscuit.
I am sure others will offer their experiences, suggestions and advice. Good luck.
