My pops had them, they are hard to rid of. The eggs can lay dormant for up to a yr and than all of a sudden it starts all over again. We used a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol to kill them on the spot. You can spray anything and everything and it will kill any living bug. Not sure if that work for eggs.
