Armaneo is back at home and resting now. He's doing well. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. It really helps.

He had an inflamed tonsil removed yesterday. The tonsil is out for pathology to determine if it is cancerous. The doctor remains skeptical that the tonsil was the cause of his mouth pain because, though enlarged, it wasn't large enough to cause severe pain and didn't appear to be infected.

The doctor performed a CT scan to rule out other issues. There were none. No abscesses in his teeth, no TM-joint issues, no muscular issues, and no other visible issues with his tongue or teeth. They are still not sure what caused his pain.

He came home disoriented, but with an appetite and he ate a decent serving of soft food, but he still clearly has mouth pain. While I'm sure it can be partially attributed to his tonsil removal, it seems something else is still causing him pain. Neuralgic pain perhaps? No one seems to know.

For now, the primary objective will be to get him recovered from his surgery. He'll be on pain meds for a while.
