Hi, I do not understand why my 8 yr old yorkie do not bark. I want a dog that barks to let me know if danger is near, or someone coming. I bought her from an original owner when she was 6 yrs old after my maltese died of cancer. It took me a while to get another dog, so a yr later I buy Chloe. The previous owner said she acts like a cat, not a dog. He said she sits in the window all day and stare out at others just like cat. Sure enough this is all she does. She sits in my bedroom window and stare out and when she see another dog she barks. This is the only time she barks. She has never barked to go out, bark when someone is at my door. I want a dog that barks, but dont know what to do. Ive been tryin to train her to bark to go boo boo, but she just stares. What can I do? Anyone experience this?
