See last nights episode actually redeemed it for me. I got tired of it during the end of season 5/beginning season 6. It pulled me back in during the mid season finale of season 6 and I decided to re-watch.

I was super pissed when it was Abraham. Not gonna lie. I was like no, I did not wait 6 months for this really. I like him and all but I was like they're taking the easy way out... killing him and not a main character... then wham... the Glenn thing threw me off completely! The way he just swung it and BAM! I don't know. I had a sneaking suspicion it would be Glenn at first but after Abraham was killed I thought he was safe and was not prepared for another death.

I'm not going to lie last night was the first episode I actually cried in. I legit thought they were ALL dead after Ricks flashback thing he did where they all got hit with the bat. I thought Negan was really going to own Rick at that point and I had a mini heart attack!!! Lol. I've never been into the show. I was almost shaking I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Anyway I thought Andrew Lincoln deserves an Emmy award for that performance. Fantastic emotion he displayed. I felt sick to my stomach. And for a show/episode to affect me that much? I'm hoping it's going in a different direction with The Kingdom, etc, so I have faith. As sad it was, I felt it was a needed change of direction & pace.

I'm anxious to see what Carol & Morgan are up to with these new people.

My only hesitation is if the tiger thing is going to work. It's obviously a CGI tiger and I'm not sure if it's going to get too cheesy for me. As the seasons have progressed, it's obviously gotten more 'comic book-y' (and yes I realize it's a comic book). But in the beginning it was so real and human-like... and now it's just turned... like it's not the real world anymore. I mean... yes could someone like Negan exist? In a post-apocalyptic world? Yeah, but it does seem a bit far fetched. I used to think the Governor was far fetched sooo... I guess I've just come to terms that it's going to be like this from here on out and I take it for what it is. A series based off comic books.
I too entertained the idea that the others were safe after Abraham was gone...but at the same time, it felt like Negan wasn't really done. And then BAM, Glenn !! Me and my hubby just yelped when that happened bc it was so sudden. But it had to be.

Totally agree that Andrew Lincoln was just stunning last night - thought the *exact* same thing! His expressions of fear and confusion and surrender were better than everyone else's combined. He nailed it. It will be really interesting, I think, to see how his personality is going to adjust toward keeping up a pretense of surrender....while also secretly plotting to take back his personal power (I don't mean ruthless power, I just mean the power over one's situation).

I also completely agree on the believable aspect of Negan. Would/could someone THAT maniacal really exist and be in total power like that...? Who knows? In that kind of a world, I suppose anything is possible, really. He is for sure far-fetched for me and the whole thing went a little far - but in that sort of world, I do think certain maniacs would thrive...until someone finally finds a way to rid the world of them...they're like cockroaches in a post-apocalyptic world.
