 Yorkie in rabbit cage
as some must know I work in a very well known pet retail store. Well today as we were closing I helped out a customer. She was looking at a rabbit cage and was asking if we had it in a box, I said she could just take the one right off the shelf. When I asked her if she had a guinea pig or rabbit she replyed a yorkie. I then went on to explain that I too had a yorkie and asked her why she didn't get a crate instead. She replyed that she couldn't see out.(she had pointed to the kennels and not the crates) I said "oh well they make others". In an attempt to perhaps save the poor dogs feet from the grate on the bottom. She said they were all to big or something of that sort. So I let it go and took the cage to the register for her. and asked her how old her dog was she said 12. I asked did she mean 12 weeks or 12 yrs. she said 12. She only weighs two pounds and is a tea cup. OH MY GOODNESS I was so tempted to say something but I held back due to being respectful and professional. It just apalled me. I mean how would ya'll react? |
