Potential congenital health issues are pretty much the same for all size Yorkies: luxating patellas (knees), hip problems, liver shunt, gastro issues. Those are the most prevalent.
The smaller the dog, the higher the risk for dental problems.
Smaller Yorkies may also be more sensitive to heartworm and flea and tick preventatives.
