I have had Yorkie ssince I was 10 years old. However during the time I have been showing I myself also thought about getting a Maltese. Well I did.
Loved there sweet playful personality. However I did not like the coat. VERY hard to care for keeping it white and brushing it everyday was a must!
I found even kept short it was alot of work and tear staining an issue as well as yelowing on the feet. I do not have one anymore but still adore the breed. I guess it all depends on if you have the time to put into the care or not. Plus the temperments are very different than a yorkies. Yorkies think they are this HUGE dog. Maltese know they are not.
