I trained 2 puppies at once and at 5 months they were not house broken. By 7 months they were mostly house broken but still an accident here and there. At 16 months my daughter moved out with her puppy and my puppy was fully house trained within a week or two of them being separated. Not sure why it made a difference. About the same time my daughter moved out with her puppy I also started working and maybe putting him on a schedule helped. I take him out before I leave for work. My son takes the dogs out as soon as he gets home and then I take them out again when I get home from work and again before bed. Rowan will bark at me if he needs to go out, but that is a very new thing he has started. It is nice because I have some idea of when he needs to go outside now. He didn't used to ever let me know. He only pee's 2-3 times a day though even if he is taken outside every few hours.

Good luck, I know how difficult it can be to train them. On a good note, my puppy knows all kinds of little tricks and likes to show off for people, smart as can be.
