Hi, and welcome to Yorkietalk! I am so excited for you finally getting your little Walter. I can tell he is going to be a very loved little boy. Your response to the "how much did he cost" question was perfect.

I guess ppl tend to be nosy or curious. It's really none of their business. When I got my yorkies I looked for two years in rescue for a small, younger dog. They are usually hard to find around here because people usually snap them up so quickly. I just told ppl that (if they really needed to know). I never let rude questions bother me. It's just not even worth giving them a second thought.
