Piper goes through (thankfully) short periods of teen-like behavior...being cool and distant--like sleeping at far end of couch; and looking at me with that haughty sidelong glance when I talk to her; and when we go out, she likes anybody better than me, cozying up to strangers--then making me tug at her leash to move on, while her new 'best friends' watch with concern ("that poor little dog..."); sooo embarrassing! As I said, these bouts are usually brief and infrequent, but my girl does like to practice her dramatic skills on occasion; you know, to ensure she still has it (I'm ready for my close-up Mr. De Mille)!
