I started using a fountain at the suggestion of our vet, since we also have cats. She said it encourages them to drink more, which is good for cats since they are desert animals. But our dogs love it, too. The first one was plastic. I switched to the Stainless Steel because it is easier to sanitize. I have to replace the pump about twice a year. Our latest foster Yorkie seemed afraid of it at first, so I also put a smaller bowl a foot away for him to use. But now he uses the fountain. |
