I have a 3 month old yorkie, 2 1/2 lbs. He has fleas and Ive just been bathing him in dawn dish soap to get rid of the fleas. My vet could not recommend a flea medicine because of his size. What does everyone else use? Ive tried nexgard on my other dogs who are 10 lbs and it works great. Also what heartworm medicine is the best to use on a puppy? My other yorkie had a bad reaction to heartworm medicine so she is not using any at this time. Is it ok to break up the nexgard into little pieces to give to my puppy? I think the smallest dose is for 10 lbs and over.
