My first two puppies I felt the same way,too tiny, just babies, so I didn't have them spayed, when one was 13 yo she died a horrible, painful death before my eyes, Pyometra, her uterus filled with puss, erupted, puss went into her blood stream, the vet gave her a full hysterectomy and sent her home. For 9 days she suffered and then died. 6 months later my 2nd one showed signs of pyometa, I rushed her to the vet, full hysterectomy, sent home, lived for 6 months then passed away.My next 2 female puppies tiny or not, were spayed before first heat. I wouldn't want anyone's baby to suffer like my first one did. Spaying your pups is the BEST thing you can do for their health.
