[Roxie Heart]

Hi l am new here. My eight-year-old Roxie has been having terrible stomach gurgling noises for the past nine months. I cannot even describe the loud squeaking, crying noises that her stomach makes in the middle of the night which wakes me up from a sound sleep. After several trips to the vet and tests and bloodwork and changing different dog foods, they are not sure what it is. I am now cooking her chicken, rice, and carrots which I give her for breakfast and lunch and I am giving her Science Diet ID canned for dinner. The vet recommended giving her a teaspoon of Dimetapp when her stomach starts making the noises. But this last week her stomach has been upset every single night. I am considering stopping the Science Diet and just feeding her the homemade chicken and rice and carrots three times a day. Has anyone else heard the terrible stomach noises from their Yorky? Any suggestions? She is in such pain when her stomach acts like that. She will not eat and she just lays there. The Dimetapp works in about 10 minutes and she has relief and then she will eat her food. But I don't like giving her medicine!
