Dog Separation Anxiety

Whenever we leave the house, we put our yorkie in her crate. She normally doesn't mind the crate; she sleeps in it at night (with the door closed), and we put it on the couch during the day and she goes in it to rest or sleep (with the door open).

But, when we need to go out, and we put her in the crate and close the door, she begins pacing back and forth, whining and barking. This continues for much of the time while we're gone (we have a security camera and can check on her and listen in...) She also pees in the crate when we leave, but not over night, and not at other times; just when we leave.

Any ideas on how to curb, or at least reduce, her anxiety?
