Bless you for rescuing this little guy,yep, that's a yorkie trait, snooping under bushes, tracking prey lol. I have a rescue,he was a city boy, leash walked. Now he lives in the country, off leash in the yard. The first day off leash free to roam he sniffed every blade of grass, every rock. Then the hole digging began lol. The cracks in the driveway lol, he probably smells the earth between the cracks,reason why he tracks the cracks, their sense of smell and hearing is phenomenal lol, my boy HEARD ants building an ant hill under an inverted 6 inch clay pot that he was stalking lol. Enjoy this lil guy and watch him grow into a confident little character as trust in his ppl grow.
