My Wookie is one of a litter of eight. Yes, eight....poor Lucky!
When we went round to choose our puppy, Wookie was the second smallest. As all of her sisters and brothers are now owned by family and friends of Lucky's human Mum, Monika, she sees them all regularly, and has told me that Wookie is now the second biggest. I know that she is over a kilo more than her sister Lora, as I work with Lora's Mum and we have regular 'Yorkie-talkie' sessions. It just goes to show that there can be a huge variation in size, even from the same litter.
When we first started taking Wookie for walks, people would ask if she was a teacup, and were quite taken aback when we replied that no, she wasn't she was only three months old. She has never been accused of not being a Yorkie, though, even though she is now already 2.8 kg at five months. In fact, most peoples reaction to her is 'What a lovely Yorkie'
Maybe we just meet a nicer breed of dog owners where we live.
