Hi! My Pxie was diagnosed with erhlichiosis. The vet ordered a desert profile and coagulation profile after he noticed that Pixie was not coagulating properly when he tried to draw blood.


Thrombocytopenia is a characteristic finding of dogs with erhlichiosis. I just started researching and reading about these diseases. I found few articles. Others are too complicated for me to fully understand (I am a lawyer with no medical background whatsoever).
