Our breeder also told us that in her experience, she found the males to be more affectionate while the girls displayed more independence.

As with every trait, it comes down to the individual dog. There are generalizations about breeds and genders, but nothing every dog is going to fit the mold.

My boys are very affectionate and I believe our encouragement has a lot to do with it. In a way, we trained them to be that way.
