Thank you for responding to my post. I agree with you that outside is the best way but sometimes circumstances make it necessary to do the inside training. I'm 76 and in extremely good health but taking her outside is not a good option for me. Slipping on wet grass or a snow covered slippery walkway is something I have to consider. I intend for us to grow old together and that means taking extra precautions. You're right. I think I'm taken her into a state of confusion. Once we get moved and we can get into our own little routine and our own little space, I think she'll do just fine. In the meantime, I'll just keep working at it and being extra patient with her.
