Default Advice needed to make dog scratch her cheeks, as rehab for right leg

On the sick board I posted about Maggie having surgery one week ago for IVDD (disc) her right leg was most affected and is weak, but her use of it is improving. I am supposed to do passive range of motion (PROM) exercises but she won't let me. I can't get her to lie on her side and if I do, she isn't cooperative. If i do it while holding her she sort of locks it straight.

I noticed that she will scratch herself with it and it was sort of amusing when she didn't have good control of it. When she stands I don't think she is putting full weight on it, but I did figure out to make her sit and stand between treats. It might be good for her just to try to scratch her face or lick her paw. What if I put peanut butter on the side of her face? any suggestions? The problem with peanut butter is that she probably won't get it off and will be sticky. Should I put it on her paw so she will at least bring it up to her face?
