We use K9 Advantix II Flea & Tick Control Monthly Treatment for Dogs because it not only kills fleas but it repels them, many spot treatments don't repel fleas. it works fine, they have a 4-10 lb option perfect for most yorkies.
I know you want to go natural but many terriers are prone to severe flea allergies and will destroy their coats with the biting and scratching, you may have to bite the bullet and try the spot treatment or a pill from the vet, who can also give you allergy pills to lessen the itchyness and give relief. Before you use it, be sure to give him a good bath and kill the fleas and eggs on him and start fresh, you also may need to treat your carpets and yard if you have them. its best to do those two things in combination to really stop the problem. |
