Emma uses pee pads and she is really good with them, given half a chance she will go in the cat room and pee on the floor close to their litter box I think just to mark the area as hers, I think she is a little jealous of the cats and likes to dominate them.
When she was younger she mistook any kind of throw rug as a pee pad so I couldn't keep a bath mat down.
