I was dying for a burger so I grabbed about a half pound of 80/20 chuck, made it into a nice thick patty, seasoned liberally with salt and pepper, cooked it to a nice juicy medium, and used toasted slices of French bread as the buns and topped with a sliced small Haas avocado, a couple of big rings of red onion, some lettuce, and a slice of Borden pepper jack (this stuff is great, it melts like velveeta but tastes 100x better) and served with some mac and cheese I doctored up with bacon, chipotles, and more of that Borden pepper jack. I haven't had a burger that good in a long time, I gotta make these more often instead of running to Whataburger or Jack in the Box.
