I posted this originally Monday evening, Sept 5th. The vet gave him morphine and told me he was in no pain. She suggested we brink him home overnite and then make a decision in the morning. Tuesday morning he went to his water bowl and began drinking. The vet then told me if he can learn how to drink/eat he can survive. Surgery is not an option as he has no teeth and too much bone loss.
It's been a week now. Chester is eating when I hand feed soft wet food or use a syringe and drinks water from his water bowl. I'm also giving him high calorie paste recommeded by vets. |
