I think it is only a problem if he was really hyper and then changed to calm. I was looking for a calm dog and asked for one....Don't misunderstand...she still runs around the house and follows me like a shadow and plays with her toys. She is very social and loves to ride in the car and meet new people. There is a difference in calm and lethargic. I had two Goldens....the really calm one, we called him Eyore...lived to be 13 years old(old for a big dog) and the hyper one died of cancer at 9. Vivi has never been much of a barker unless food is an issue.She has a great appetite. Her behavior is consistant and that is the key
