Yorkies just want & need to be with their people. She feels secure & protected with you when the house is quite and dark. And she's there to protect you, her pack. You said she does better during the day after she slept with you, because she knows everyone was together having sweet dreams.
My little one sleeps with me every night. Nothing like cuddling with a warm soft Yorkie. Oh, & by the way, my husband has his own bed, not because of our Yorkie, big snorers. ha!
