I can feel your pain. However, it really will grow back. When I was letting Barney grow a coat, I took him for a sanitary trim. I told the groomer very specifically to leave his face alone. I have 3. So I took a paper outlining what I wanted for each. She shaved his nose. I was furious. I did not return to her. Her loss because I always leave a tip that is almost as much as what she charges (as a bribe to follow my directions).
As far as the hair goes, it will grow back. Buy a few sweaters and shirts and enjoy your nakie pup. Poor Barney had to be shaved a few years back because he had been in a patch of beggar lice. He has these ginormous skinny legs, so naked is not the best look for him. It grew back in time. It's now cut off in a puppy cut and I love it.
