I think recent studies have shown though that it is not required yearly because the vaccine's effects lasts three years. By giving it yearly, it's kind of an overdose and not required even if you're travelling.

Despite what a good vet yours may seem to be, why not get a second opinion on the vaccine issue if you're still concerned? But there are definitely articles out there that have proved that these vaccines are not required annually.
