I raised a bunch of kids and learned to do everything with all of them at the same time. Reading books before nap time, playing games, etc. It's not easy. It takes a little extra effort but it creates a bond with them and with each other.

Dogs will bond with other dogs if they are well adjusted. Make your little guy a part of everything you do with the new one. If he sees she is important to you then she will be important to him.

I don't know how much room you have on your bed but sometimes putting a nice warm, soft dog bed on your bed will help stop the crowding that sometimes happens when dogs sleep on the bed. If you get a medium sized one the two might eventually decide to cuddle together in it.

The thing that bothered me when I got another dog was I was afraid Gracie might decide to spend more time with the new one than me. Well, that has not been an issue. I just need a bigger lap now.
