I am also new to having a Yorkie. Her name is Sofie, she is 3 years old and weighs just 5 pounds. She belonged to my granddaughter and she needed to find a new home. We had often watched her so we already loved her. However for full time parenting this site will be so helpful. We have always had big dogs. Our other dog weighs in at 130 lbs. He is almost 14 years old.. They get along fine.
