The general opinion is that anyone using the term "teacup" when selling a Yorkie is uninformed and they often use that term to up the cost of a Yorkie that is not substantiated. Do you have a copy of their breeding geniology or a DNA to indicate health issues in the breeding line? The pup is 8 years old - any passed health issues.

Smaller Yorkies are more easily injured, but can be healthy. I would get a through vet check with lab work before getting any smaller pup.
