I agree with you completely here!!! When I asked the vet staff how much they knew about liver shunts after all they said and did to lecture me on him they actually told me they treated animals for them there but they eventually confessed to me they knew very little about them once I told them their information was incorrect and dangerous for my boy! They wanted me to do some things that could have very well made him worse and when I told them this they admitted to not knowing anything more than how to give out medication for the shunts! I told them with that being the case then they had no right telling people what they should or shouldn't do if they have an animal with a shunt because their advice (or should I say wrong advice) could end up causing the death of animals there! Bad system! Shame on them!
