CaponeTheYorkie That's so sad about your roomate who did that. It's really the disregard for other living beings that is truly the pitfall of human kind.
Agreed that rehoming is good as a last resort, but people really ought to think ahead and be more responsible when making such a big decision to get a pet.
If the large majority of the popular is so ignorant about pet ownership, there needs to be a movement to educate people. At the very least to let them know that owning a pet is a big decision and not just a whim.
